“Optimism is a strategy for making a better future. Because unless you believe that the future can be better, you are unlikely to step up and take responsibility for making it so.” ― Noam Chomsky

I assist others in expressing themselves using verbal and meta verbal communications and healing in a safe, supportive, accepting and nurturing environment. I believe that all humans carry within them a resiliency and innate courage that allows them not only to heal but also to change and grow throughout their entire life. The counselling can assist in bringing a person back together as a person so that they can find purpose, therefore experience their existence. I believe that the presenting issues involve emotional, psychological, physical, intellectual, cultural, philosophical and spiritual components. It is my belief that the integration of different theoretical perspectives, coupled with an expanding appreciation of what it means to be human, can bring meaningful changes and be helpful to solving the issues.

With more than 15 years in international business development, I understand the issues involved in the competitive business world. My post-secondary education includes a BA in History, MBA in International Business and Marketing and Juris Doctorate Degree. I enjoy painting and volunteer in Downtown East Side with Enterprising Women Making Art. In addition to the one-on-one counselling experience in my office, I have experience working with the Atira Women’s Resource Society and Turning Point Recovery Society and Crisis Intervention and Suicide Prevention Centre of BC. My counselling speciality focuses on addictions, life transition, career transition, anxiety, self-esteem, anger management and relationship management.
