Continuous Competency Model

We are currently in the process of establishing a comprehensive continuous competency development model for ACCT.

The intention is to have a plan that will be me more inclusive in terms of ways one can develop competency as a counsellor. It will allow for increased flexibility and the consideration of individual goals/needs in attaining yearly competency development hours.

We will be discussing the proposed model at our upcoming AGM and encourage maximum member input into this before moving forward with a final plan.

Are you in Good Standing with ACCT?

It is a criterion of your membership with ACCT that proof of insurance must be provided annually to maintain registration in good standing and that you complete the annual requirements for membership, including payment of dues, a minimum of 10 hours of supervision per year for RTCs, ACs and RCSs (MTCs are encouraged to complete 10 hours of supervision) and 15 hours of professional development or continuing education credits per year.

Supervision and Professional Development reports need to be completed each year at renewal and cover the year prior, i.e.; if your renewal date is October 31, 2017, the reporting period would be from November 1, 2016, to October 31, 2017.
