ACCT Facebook Policy

The ACCT Facebook Community page is a member-only page that provides members a safe place to network with other members to share information, resources and personal experiences in the field of psychology or counselling practices.

The ACCT Facebook Community is an excellent way for members to connect with other members, to post regarding referrals, resources, professional development opportunities and celebrating wins, but if you have specific questions, comments, or concerns about ACCT, or things like the Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics, third party insurers, scope of practice, other requirements and guidelines or your membership, please contact us directly at [email protected] rather than post your questions on Facebook as we want to ensure that you have the most accurate and best quality information at hand regarding your particular situation, your membership and ACCT. Even though other members are trying to help by sharing their experiences, they could be accidentally providing you with incorrect information because they don't know the intricate details of your situation and what precedents may have been set in your area of inquiry. Please allow us to provide you with guidance with your specific questions in these areas.
Members are also encouraged to consider whether a clinical question is more appropriately and usefully addressed in a clinical supervision setting. Please consider you and your clients’ protection and consult your supervisor about questions related to your practice. If you have legal questions, you may need to consult a lawyer.

Members of the group are required to read and abide by the ACCT Facebook Policy.

We welcome active participation!
