2020 - 2021 BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND COMMITTEES

We would like to announce the following changes to our Board of Directors.

Resignations

In October 2014, Karen Campbell was re appointed to the ACCT Board.  She put many hours into the arduous task of writing the ACCT policies and updating the policies and procedures.  A task not many would tackle.   Karen has now stepped back from her Board position and and we sincerely appreciate the work she has done.

Kami Butcher has resigned from the Board due to a change in her time availability.  We thank Kami for her marketing input.  Her IT experience and hard work has helped bring ACCT a long way, and her efforts in transitioning our website material is greatly appreciated.  Her latest project, spearheading and arranging the production of the soon to be released ACCT promotion video, will continue to evolve.

Additions (filling two vacancies):

Allow us to introduce our newest Board Director,  Mike Stephan.  Mike brings to the board policy development experience, training oversight and HR management including  conflict resolution coaching and knowledge around human rights issues.  He is an entrepreneur and business owner and he operates a counselling and workshop business in New Westminster. For further information on Mike, check out his board profile.

We are also pleased to announce that Karleen Nevery,  a founding member and Treasurer has rejoined the board.  A warm welcome back to Karleen, who in reality, never stepped too far from the Board and its activity.

REGISTRAR POSITION UPDATE

PR and Marketing Manager Hired

ACCT is excited to introduce Julia Montague to our members.  Julia has been hired in a  Public Relations and Marketing role.  Her mandate is to build relationships and widen ACCT's visibility with third party billers and health professionals in our communities. She will also be sourcing member benefits for ACCT counsellors and enhancing our public image through our website and printed material.  She will be networking with our member/owners to learn what we want and we need.  Julia is currently part of our Facebook group and is open to listening and taking action.

Julia Montague comes to the ACCT from the world of Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, and Journalism. In a past life she taught English to students in Vancouver and Vietnam and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of British Columbia, and a Diploma in Broadcast and Media Communications from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. For further information on Julia check out her bio on our website.

Thanks to the financial health of ACCT, we now have a small budget to retain a Public Relations professional and no longer have to rely fully on volunteers to fill all the roles at ACCT. That said, Julia Montague and Sarah Lipsett will continue to seek volunteer input from members in the spirit of being a "Cooperative" Professional Association.
